Role Model Session: Francien Peterse

In this first Role Model Session of 2023 we will meet with Francien Peterse, expert on terrestrial surface temperature & paleoclimatology.

She has kindly agreed to share her view on what is below the academic surface, and how she navigated a male dominated working climate. Since 2014, Francien has been the daily leader of the Organic Geochemistry group at our faculty, first as assistant professor and since 2020 as associate professor. She has received various large grants (e.g. an NWO veni and vidi) and contributed to innovative teaching tools (LabBuddy).

We invite you to join us in exchanging experiences and inspiration for your own career, and welcome everyone wanting to learn about this topic from Francien.

We will provide fair trade coffee and tea and vegan banana bread. You can of course bring your own lunch.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining the session by sending an email to ywog@uu.nl.
