Book Discussion

After collaborating with bookstore Savannah Bay to give away 30 free book copies to Geosciences employees, we will be meeting to discuss these books and related themes at 16:00 15th September, followed by a borrel! You don’t have to have read any of the books to attend.

The books we will be discussing are:

  • The Climate Crisis and the Global Green New Deal
    Noam Chomski
  • Blind Spot – Hidden Biases of Good People
    Mahzarin R. Banaji and Anthony G. Greenwald
  • The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
    Rebecca Skloot

The event will begin with an introduction by Savannah Bay, followed by breakout groups to discuss each of the books before coming back together for a group discussion and the borrel. We hope to see you there!
